Watermead Day Nursery aims to provide a wraparound care service to meet the needs of the local primary school community and is available for children up to the age of 8 who attend Holywell Primary School.

Wraparound care means your child can attend the local primary school for the day and we take care of them for the remainder.  Children attending the nursery as part of their care are escorted safely to school by Watermead Day Nursery staff after a nutritious breakfast.  Children are then collected from school at the end of the educational day and bought back to the nursery where they can enjoy a tasty snack and afternoon tea before doing more fun activities.

This before and after school provision means the children are cared for in a safe environment in which they may be already familiar with and staff they have already built relationships with.  In a time of so much change and challenge in a young child’s life we feel this facility offers them a place where they can make the transition process from nursery care to full-time education a little less challenging.

The nursery is open from 7.45am until 6pm and this allows parents who work full-time or study to drop their children off or pick them up following a full working day safe in the knowledge they have been safely cared for, fed and watered and further entertained.
