Sarah
Director
Hi. I'm Sarah and I'm the proud owner of Watermead Day Nursery and Pre-School. From its original conception over 10 years ago I've watched the nursery grow and mature in to what it is now. More recently I've overseen the renovation of our adjacent family home, Brook Farm House, into the new pre-school facility. I have very high standards that I hope are reflected in the setting, and I'm kept on my toes by our two children, Sienna and Scarlett, who both regularly visit the nursery and often offer feedback.
Becca
Deputy Manager
My name is Rebecca and I have 14 years experience working in childcare. In this time I have also had the opportunity of helping run a day nursery. I have worked in a few settings and enjoy working with all ages.
I have two children of my own, Elliot who is my eldest son aged 7 and Leighton who is aged 5.
Whilst I am not at nursery I enjoy taking time to go to the gym, joining in various classes. My favourite past time is spending it with my family and going on trips with them. I also enjoy reading a variety of books and socializing with my close friends.
Bek
Senior Manager
My name is Bek and I’m currently a Senior leader at Watermead. I Have also been a Room leader, whilst being at Watermead too. I hold a level 3 qualification in early years and I’ve been working in this sector for 15 years now. I’m a Mum of 4 young children and in my spare time, I’m very family orientated and enjoy family walks, time in the garden and going to the park.
Kyla
Nursery Manager
Hello, my name is Kyla. Since a young age I’ve always had a passion to work with children. I’ve worked in childcare for over four years and whilst working I’ve been attending University to work towards my Degree in Children’s and Young Peoples Services. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and looking after my 2 nieces.
Gill
Nursery Consultant
Gill first worked as the Manager of Watermead Day Nursery when Sarah opened the nursery in 2004 and later re-joined Watermead Day Nursery in April 2017 having worked at Loughborough College for over 17 years managing the departments of Early Years Education, Health & Social Care, Public Services, Teacher Education and the Radmoor Nursery, Before & After School provision and Holiday Clubs.
Prior to working in education Gill worked for Social Services specialising in child protection. Gill holds qualifications in Early Years, Social Work and Education. Gill has two grown up daughters and her grandson attends Watermead Day Nursery.
Chloe
Senior Manager
My name is Chloe and I currently work as the Senior Leader of Brook Farm Preschool.
I have previously worked as a Room Leader at Watermead and thoroughly enjoy working with all ages. I have five years’ experience in childcare and have completed my Degree in Children’s and Young Peoples services at the University of Derby alongside working.
When I'm not working at Watermead, I spend my time going on long walks with my family and 4 dogs as well as spend time socialising with my friends.
