*** Longcliffe Nursing Home 2nd March ***

Updated: Mar 14, 2020

We were thrilled, once again, to be invited to visit our elderly friends at Longcliffe Nursing home. After the successful visit last time with our younger children we decided to take all the children from the Robins room.

Amy describes their morning:

“A lovely morning spent at Longcliffe care home, the children had such a great time. We wrapped up warm, sat in the pushchairs and enjoyed the different sounds we could hear as we walked up the hill. When we arrived the lovely lady walked us all around the building saying hello to the elderly residents, we were very brave and all smiled and waved to the adults. Bek, Amy and Jess brought along some musical instruments for us to explore with our new friends, this was a great idea as it had been two of the ladies birthdays, we made music and danced with our new friends whilst playing with the balloons they provided for us. After our busy time dancing, we had some snack of bananas and cheese puffs - we sat nicely and enjoyed our snack. Max was very kind and enjoyed offering snack to our new friends, well done max! The ladies at the care home provided us with some blocks, we enjoyed building and counting with these, some of us took some blocks to our new friends to build towers with! The time went so quickly and we had so much fun, the children all waved, high fives and had cuddles with our new friends.”

Thank you Longcliffe, we look forward to seeing you again very soon.
