Tree of Remembrance
Naomi our Resident Artist shares their latest project:
"In Pre-school we decided to remember all the brave soldiers who fought in the war. Some of our pre-schoolers were inquisitive as to why people wear poppies so we asked the children if any of them knew why. "We wear them for the soldiers in the war".
From this we decided to turn the tree of life, into the tree of remembrance.
Following with our recycling theme, the children all made poppies using plastic bottles and jam tart cases. We then stuck our beautiful poppies on the tree for the children to see. Mrs Stevens enjoyed reading the poem "Poppy Poppy" to the children".
